I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for. But, here goes.
An ST elevation MI is caused by complete obstruction of a coronary artery, and causes damage that involves the full thickness of the heart muscle. A non-ST elevation MI is caused by partial obstruction of a coronary artery, and it causes damage that does not involve the full thickness of the heart wall.
Hope this helps ya.

Hi,
I brifely know the difference of a ST elevation and Non ST elevation, but i am not sure of the physiology behind, what does it really matter if you have an ST elevation. I dont know whether this is a bit of a silly question to ask.
Thankyou.
