NP School After DMU

Okay so here is the issue. I am a nurse that was released from the BON and returned to active status in 2020. I have remained out of trouble and actually started working in behavioral health. I was going to apply to a MSN program with a concentration in Psych. When I applied to one school they said to call my state board and ask if I could still prescribe after my license was reinstated or if the DMU is a permanent no go with any advanced degrees in which I may be able to prescribe medications.

Does anyone have experience with going into NP school after DMU or other disciplinary action that remained on your license but does not hinder your practice. I have no restrictions and worked ICU and other agency so NO RESTRICTIONS. My lawyer said that doctors go through the DMU and after they go back to practice and prescribe so would it be any different for a NP
