NP practice in MEXICO?

Anyone know if the NP license is recognized in Mexico? Or, know of any NP's who have practiced there? Many of the communities are full of Americans that have gone to retire or stay part of the year there.

I'm from mexico and i do not agree about that statement, i'm a 2d year student and do know to apply and IV and a foley. o.O Dunno in wich country your wife is then.

Off topic but add Japan as well. We recently had faculty visitors from 2 different Acute Care NP programs in Japan who talked to our group about our role and how we became integrated into the ICU setting.

Hey bancho, it seems like you have a good idea about being a nurse in Mexico since that is where you got your education. I was wondering if you had any advice for me. I am just starting out with my prerequisites for my Bachelor's in Nursing in the States and my ultimate goal is to use my nursing experience in Mexico in free clinics. Do you think it would be necessary or a good thing to maybe get my Bachelor's in the US and then get my Master's in Mexico? Or can I just stop with the bachelor's? what do you think?
