Hi everyone,

I am new to this website and would like to ask if anybody here in this board is NP in military. My aunt who is same age with me (32) currently just graduate from NP program (MSN) from local university here in state and currently licensed as RN in state. She didn't had any experience working as RN in USA since she unable to get a job, so she decide to further her education in graduate program and now she just graduate and waiting to take a test to become FNP. She considerate to joint millitary as NP. We trying to call recruiter and they never return call back. I wonder if anybody here can give us an idea how long the process is to apply as NP in millitary (she want to joint airforce). What is the application process?, I heard that they require working references and personal references also?, how about her case that she never work in US?, can we use references from another country? How is difficult the basic trainning is? Can RN experience from another country count toward her experience as a nurse? Please anybody share with us , we will be appreciate it.

First question is, is she a US citizen. This is a requirement for commissioning as an officer.
