NP Case Load (Staffing Ratio)

I'm trying to find some concrete recommendations regarding staffing ratios for nurse practitioners doing F2F visits. So much of it says....it depends. Couldn't find anything supported by data. Thoughts?

Out-patient? our clinic NP's (Cardiology) are asked to see at least 10 patients a day

it depends...on the setting (inpatient, outpatient, clinic, offsite vs onsite, etc.)

I don't know of any staffing ratios when it comes to F2Fs alone. At my previous hospice job, we had a census of 140-150 patients and I was the only NP. And since F2Fs are not true clinical visits--they're administrative--I can't imagine there'd be a staffing ratio, but I could be wrong.
