Hey all, wanted to start the Summer cohort thread since I didn't see one made. I got waitlisted for ED in the Charlotte market. Does anyone have any insight about the chances of getting off the waitlist? Is it possible? This is my top choice hospital ugh.

Hi again! Does anyone know how many applicants are usually accepted into the NICU or Women's Health specialty ? If so, what was the criteria needed to be accepted?

Honestly, I think they might not even have spots open in certain areas but don't say that so that they still get applications and can assign people to where they can't get coverage. I had clinicals with a lpn-RN student from a different school who is currently an LNP with Novant on a postpartum unit and she still didn't get offered the women's and children's route. Even after multiple people from her management called to say that they wanted to keep her and the residency program just said "oh well no spots left unless she wants to do med surge (adult acute care) so she's sol because novant requires all new grads to do the residency program.

Yes! My school is based on quarters so I graduate March 21st. They told me to apply early!

What's the interview process like this cohort? Initially I had a 30 min virtual interview and wondering if there will be another one?  It's been crickets on my end for over a week and hoping to hear something back soon 😬

My recruiter said I was guaranteed a response in two weeks and I got an offer in a week. I had one interview and an email sent saying I got an offer🙂 Goodluck!

I applied for the Novant Summer 2025 Cohort Residency with my top two choices being the ED and ICU. I had my interview last Thursday, it went very well, and I received an email afterwards saying:

"We hope your experience has been nothing short of REMARKABLE!

Within the next two weeks, we will be following up with you regarding an update on your application status following your interview.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this busy, yet exciting time!"

Also, my application status now says "under consideration" as of Friday 3/28. My friend interviewed the same day as me and got an offer today but I haven't heard back, however, she interviewed for a different location. What do we think? Is this all good signs? And did anyone get rejected after having these notifications?

Hi Everyone! I have my interview on April 15th, but I'm thinking of bumping it up to the 8th. I just haven't attended an info session and the earliest one is on the 10th. Should I just skip the info session and interview earlier? I'm hoping for ED in either Wilmington or Charlotte but it seems like their ED spots may be full I'm not sure. I haven't been able to find a list of start dates either does anyone on here know what they are?
