I didn't see a Nova Winter 2018 thread so I decided to start one. I applied to Nova via their website on Friday (my transcripts from Miami Dade College and University of Miami is on it's way). Not sure if I have to also apply through NursingCAS but I emailed an advisor and I am awaiting her response. Anyways, thinking about ordering the Kaplan book already to start studying, Nursing School Entrance Exams (Kaplan Test Prep), is this the right one? Is anyone else using something else? Anyways hope to hear from you soon.
the back ground check automatically goes through castle branch. I don't know why mine says "Clinical Requirements: Nursing-Fall/August 2017" Does yours say fall or winter?
Mine says fall as well I was a little confused.... I'm thinking maybe it just didn't update yet because technically the fall students immunizations aren't due yet. And thank you!

Hi!! Don't be nervous the interview is very laid back they ask you mostly scenario questions and to talk about yourself for a minute. The Kaplan exam isn't bad either, just study anatomy and physiology notes if you have them. I got a 80 on my Kaplan exam and I only studied the anatomy portion. Good luck and keep us updated!!
Hi! I also got an interview for next week but I'm pretty nervous... can you give some examples of the scenario questions they ask?
I'm also nervous for the Kaplan and wonder what resources I can use to study ? I took the TEAS a few months ago and got a 69.3. I scored an 87.5 in Math, 63.8 in Science, 70 in English, and 61.7 in Reading. (my weakest) I heard there were similarities between the two tests, so if anyone knows or has advice of what they were specifically tested in each subject, please let me know!
They asked me questions like What qualities do you think a nurse should have, what would you do if a student was cheating, what would you do if a student was posting on social media about their patients. Mostly questions to judge your character and your leadership skills. And as far as the Kaplan, this was the only test I took so I'm not sure in comparison to the HESI and TEAS however I had the both of the those study books and I have to say the Kaplan seemed much easier.... hope this helps!
Hi! I recently applied and have my interview the 22nd. I was wondering for those of you who got accepted, what did you all use to study for the Kaplan exam? I want to buy any study tools that may help soon so I'm not cramming too much lol =) thank you!!

I called today and found out I was accepted for the main campus!!!! I interviewed on June 20th.
