Hi, I wanted to know more about Nova and my chances on getting in. I am applying for Aug. 2010. I am currently attending MDC I have a 3.3 GPA and by the end of spring 2010 ill have a 3.4 or 3.5. Anyone know if I can get into Nova with that? Any information on the interview at Nova? What questions do they ask? What is the essay about? Thank you.
german21 15 Posts Nov 24, 2009 I was interviewed today for January and my gpa is only a 3.2....I think if you do well on your science classes and have good recommendations as well as a good paper then you should'nt have any problem getting in:) In the interview they give you 10 min to write about any road signs which may have led you to where you are today and towards becoming a nurse...and the interview is pretty basic questions:) They were very nice, the only thing that happened with me was that i got kinda nervous and felt like my answers were'nt as good as they could have been:( we'll see but good luck!!!

german21 15 Posts Dec 3, 2009 I've decided not to go to Nova for a few reasons... Its not too expensive but it would mean that I would have to take out some loans which I want to avoid if possible and the program is three years which I'm not too excited about either. I've decided to go to broward and get my RN then go on to get an RN-BSN at another school. This works out best for me but may not for others:)Well good Luck!!!!:)
gatita28 33 Posts Dec 3, 2009 Oh What 3 years why so long I dint now i though was 2 years, why 3. I am going to apply as second choice to broward college too. I was thinking if I get in to get the baptist scholarship If i get in I mean in Nova. If not I will apply to Browad college you need a class HCP310 health division profession classes is required before apply I am currently taking it. It is my second option to apply for the August term at BCC if not get accepted it.
german21 15 Posts Dec 3, 2009 I'm not sure why it's three years, that's just how they have their program is spread out. I would call them and ask them just to be sure. I finished the Health core class in september and am applying for the Summer term at Central. Also, the summer term is the last term at BCC that will be accepting without having to also take the HESI in order to be considered for admittance. :/ If you can apply for the Summer term I would strongly advise you too, it's only going to get more difficult to get accepted. You have unit Jan 15 to submit an application for the summer term. Also, you need to meet with an advisor to have your transcript evaluated before you can submit an application....:)
