Not sure if teas 6 score is good enough

Published

Hello! I just took my teas about a month ago and I'm worried that it won't get me into the competitive school I am applying for. My total was 89%(sooo close ugh) Reading: 91.5% Math: 93.8% Science: 87.2% English: 79.2%. The school I am applying for breaks the scores up into the science score and a comprehensive score. In this case, my science would be 87% and my comprehensive would end up being 88%. My GPA right now is 3.9 but I have not taken A&P 2 yet or microbiology (ugh RIP), so I'm not sure how my GPA will end up by the end of next semester. It could potentially fall to a 3.7 if things don't go so well for me, which is worrying because that is the minimum GPA required simply to even be considered for the program.

So my question is, do you guys think it's worth coughing up some more money to retake the exam?

I think your scores are excellent. Good job. It really depends on how competitive your school is, but I would be thrilled if I made the scores you did.

I don't think you should retake the exam.

Who is telling you a 3.7 is "minimum" to get into the program? Is it just people on this forum, your friends, or have you spoken with actual admissions people?

Hello! Thanks so much for the responses. And I actually just double checked the school website and the minimum GPA is 3.25 but it states 3.7 is what's needed to be competitive for the nursing program.
