Nurses Career Support

A little confused here. I am an RN that has been home with my kids the last 7 years. I had worked for about 5 years (PICU & PACU) before I quit. I tried to go back to work about a year ago on my old unit (Pediatric PACU) just one day a week(contingent). That did not go well at all. I felt so stupid, nothing was coming back to me. So after 9 months of incredible stress I resigned. I hated it so much I thought about never being a nurse again. Right now in my crazy life (2 kids in school, 1 in preschool and a husband that works straight nights) I only want to work 2 days a week at the most. I think in order for me to work in the hospital again I need to go back full time and start from scratch to relearn everything. I'm interviewing wednesday for an office RN job (maybe 10 hours/week). This job just fell in my lap, but I'm not sure if it is really something I should do. I know the pay will be less, but I'm assuming the stress will be much less then a pediatric PACU. Just not sure if once I get into an office if I'll ever leave that atmosphere. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
