Hello,I'm a sophmore nursing student looking for some advice. During my freshman yr,I did terribly in my prerequisite(2.7). I am trying to improve my grades by the end of this school yr to stay on track with my schools 4 yr BSN. I am discouraged because I am currently enrolled in A&P along with other courses, and although I enjoy class I am not testing well. I studying more than ever,at tutoring at least 3 times a wk yet my grades are low cs(70-75) range. What gives? I realized that it may take me longer than 4 yrs but what are my other options? I basically need a 3.5 at the end of this yr or I will be dismissed from the program? I have no other career interest and I'm trying to put in the extra work, but it seems as if I am not getting a boost in my grades.

Hi - My A&P lecture was 6 hours on Saturdays (zzzzzzz) with a professor that had a VERY-VERY heavy accent. It was frustrating taking these long classes feeling like I retained NOTHING. YouTube became my best friend as there are full lectures online - I watched a lot of online lectures. Also, these guys: Bozeman Science, Crash Course, Khan's Academy, break down specific things. For instance, search YouTube for Crash Course Muscular System... hilarious and informative! This helped me get through Chemistry too. Hang in there and Good Luck!

So what you are saying is that you are in your second full time year of school and started this semester with a 2.7 GPA and need to being it up to 3.5 by end of spring next year? I am in no way attempting to discourage you, but assuming you are taking a minimum of 13+ credits this semester and for spring, you would have to get all A's to pull off a 3.5 GPA.
