Hi everyone,
Im almost 5 months pregnant and will be delivering at Northside in Canton. I know that the Northside in Dunwoody is great but have no information on the one in Canton. Does anyone know if this is a good hospital? I drove up to it and it looks really old and small. But I know you can't always judge a book by its cover.
Anyway, any information from nurses would be great!
Thanks!

Do you know the story behind northside at canton?? They were going to build a state of the art facility with birthing center at 575 and sixes road (I used to live in Bridgemill). It was going to be on the land right off the exit. They were sued by another hospital because said hospital felt that it would take business away from them. I could not believe it! With all the growth up in that area (Bridgemill, Rivergreen, ect ) that cherokee county could not build a better facility with more nursing staff. Anyway, it was all shot down. If anybody remembers which hospital sued and won please post. My husband had a heart attack and went to northside canton, they could not handle there so they flew him down to Piedmont (wonderful facility, except due to traffic, I could not get there in less than 2 hours!) Good luck!! BTW, Atlanta needs more hospitals in the suburbs, why is everything downtown??!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow that seems really unfair for the existing hospital to say that they would take away their business, so they can't build. McDonalds doesn't sue burger king when they build right next door. Business is business, and there will be competition wherever you go.

HARRN2B I know this post is a few years old but I just had to pipe up and tell you they are now slated and zoned to rebuild Northside Cherokee between exits 16 (hwy 140) & 19 (hwy 20) breaking ground very soon. I haven't lived in this area too long and didn't have knowledge of them being sued but looks like they got redemption!!!
