Northern Ontario Outpost Nursing

Any nurses in Ontario who are doing Northern Outpost Nursing who could answer some questions? I am interested in shorter assignments (weeks, not months)

Pay?

Cost to take spouse/child along?

Agency recommendations?

Training? What's involved? (Cornwall program...anyone know about this -- 1-2 weekends)?

Scope of practice difference from other ON RN's? (intubation, suturing?)

How do you pack food?

Accomodations?

Hi,

i currently work in northern outposts in northern Quebec and i have pretty much the same questions as Julia, regarding any recommandations for agencies that send nurses in northern ontario outposts / communities.

any info would be very appreciated !
