For those of you who got invited for interviews, is there anything you did that made you stand out? Like GPA, volunteer, or any other extra activities or achievements. Any input is welcome! And congrats!

So my GPA wasn't the strongest (3.2) but I maintained a 4.0 for my RN-BSN track. I served on unit committees and precepted students and new grads. I also got all my certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CCRN, TNCC, NIHSS and my EMT that I've just kept active because I like EMS. I highlighted my experience with hemodynamic monitoring and devices and airway stuff (like ENT ICU patients). I also had very supportive managers who wrote me very nice rec letters. Let me know if that helps or if you have any other questions. We're in it together

Thank you for the information! What type(s) of ICU have you worked in? I’ve only done Neuro ICU and I fear that was a downfall for me. ? the rest of my application was pretty solid….

We're not too far off. my overall is 3.44 & science is 3.8. I feel I need to get a stronger statement and perhaps more involvement in the community. I picked up committees, relief charge, clinical coach, all certs except last 3, & KY license.  Maybe I'm not presenting myself the best way. Thanks for the input!

Yeah I've only done neuro also. I'm seriously considering changing jobs if nothing happens with UC.

You sound like you have really strong stats and a great candidate. You should keep applying around, UC doesn't close till November/December. Have you had anyone else look over your personal statement, etc? I'm routing for you!

I did have multiple people look over it. They told me it sounded really good, but I hope they were weren't just being nice. LOL. Thank you for the support. I'm rooting for you as well! Just gotta keep pushing and trying.

I started CVICU, then did travel as critical care float, so I did all of them: neuro, burns, trauma/surgery, medical, ENT, CV... I tried to make that like an "adaptability" thing when I sent in all my stuff.

Now that that’s all over, how did everyone think that interview go ?

I got two medical questions... the rest was emotional intelligence style questions, which I feel like are super hard to quantify. So I'm honestly not sure. I gave it 110% though, so now we wait.

Just got my acceptance!! Good luck everyone!! ???

Does anyone from last year remember what the clinical questions were? Or where to focus? And what type of emotional intelligence questions? Trying to best prepare. Thanks!

Hi, I've applied for the 2025 program and I was wondering how your program is going? Do you like it?
