Hi everyone! A graduate from a university with a bachelor's degree and I've been looking into absn programs here in North Carolina. I came across Northeastern University on a web search and saw where they are offering an online ABSN option here in Charlotte within 16 months. I've never heard of this school. Has anyone been in this particular program? Is it a good program? I was trying to find reviews of this program online, but wasn't able to find any solid information. Is it accredited? How is the clinical rotations? If anyone can give me clarification or can break down the gist of the program here in NC I would SOOOOOOO appreciate it. 😄😄

It is a fairly good program. NE is a university in Boston and they have a Charlotte campus. Their ABSN program in Boston is very good, and they are expanding to Charlotte because Charlotte only has one other ABSN program at Queens. The NE program is a bit expensive. Also, it is slightly unique for an ABSN program because is partially online. Thus, the coursework is online but the clinical skills labs and tests are in the downtown Charlotte location at N. Tryon. I visited the building of the school and it seems nice, very new. However, it is a small space and it is very corporate. It feels like you are going to a job and not a college campus. There are some videos online that I would recommend checking out on their YouTube channel where NE students talk about their experience at the Charlotte program. It is a very young program because I think they only have two or three cohorts enrolled so far. The benefit of this program is that they are in Charlotte and partner with Novant and CMC for clinicals. As a result, you will have opportunities (I assume) to work with these companies and network leading to a higher chance of landing a job in the future. This is just from my research and I am applying there now, so I do not know everything about the program. But, it is there and it is an option.

Have you applied there yet? I think you made this post on March 11, so it has been a while. Sorry I did not come across it any sooner.

I've also been researching this... I actually attended NEU online for my BS in Health Management (while living in AZ) but I'm now in NC and something about nursing keeps pulling me back in! I haven't spoken to anyone there yet but am hoping to find some more opinions on this forum!

@redshott- did you happen to apply to NEU program? I'm desperately trying to find info about their ABSN program and not having much luck. I applied to the Spring 2021 cohort but I can't really figure out how I will pay for it! Only issue for me.
