Hello everyone, I'm starting this thread for whoever has applied for the Direct entry MSN '16. I'm really excited. I know the deadline is december 1st and it's a bit early, but i can't wait to hear back from them. Looking forward to hearing from you guys soon!
I don't think it's going to impact your application, because technically you've submitted the application before the deadline. I think as long as you've notified them of the situation, there shouldn't be any penalties. It's just weird how the whole transcript thing works... They should just request official transcripts right off the bat, i think it would make the whole process a lot easier.
Quick question, to the "Introduction to Chemistry" pre-req, what class did you guys take to fulfill that requirement? I looked at Northeastern's catalog, and there's no class with that name. I'm trying to get a hold of the admissions staff to see what they say, but they still haven't given me an answer. I think the "General Chemistry I" class would fulfill it, but im not sure.
I took principles of inorganic chem at bunker hill cc. A lot of pre-nursing students were in that class. I think you just need a basic chemistry course. I asked admissions at boston college (also applied there) and they told me that course will fulfill the requirement. It wasn't too expensive and easy enough. Ahh April is a long ways away. It's too bad they only have a few info sessions a year. I actually had my chemistry class on Saturdays this past fall so I couldn't attend the info session in October. Is Northeastern your first choice?
Hey folks!
I applied for psych/mental health and like everyone else I'm wicked antsy about hearing back. I took general chemistry 1 in new jersey and general chemistry 2 at northeastern. I called them and they said general chemistry 1 usually covers the prereq, they look heavily at your course description though and make sure you've done what they expect you to know.
Thank you guys for your input. I've spoken with somebody and they told me "Gen Chemistry I" would fulfill the requirement. About hearing back from them, it will probably happen next month. According to another thread, they did interviews in February, then they notified people in March if they got accepted.

I mailed mine in the mail after having the same issue. Does anyone know how this will impact our application since they arrived after the deadline?
