I couldn't find much information about this program on this site. I would really appreciate if anybody would share any knowledge and/or experiences with this program. Thanks!

I'd like information on NTCC's LVN program. Funny how know one on this site seems to have graduated from there. I can't find any info either.

What kind of info are you wanting?
Just info like how time intensive is it really? Will I have any time for my family at all? Will we be covered up on weekends with work also? Did you feel prepared after graduation? Thank you for replying;)
Actually I have not started it yet... I was accepted to the ADN program to start on August 22nd. I have a 2 year old and a husband, and I have been going for 2 years taking pre reqs and co reqs, so get those out of the way first for sure... The director told me that it will be VERY time consuming, but I would think that would be any nursing program! Good luck to you!! I am sure you can handle it!!

Expect to be extremely busy every day during your time in the program. I'm entering the 2nd year of the ADN program now. From what I've heard, our program is one of the most difficult... not sure if that is a good thing? lol
I'm not sure what the lvn hours are like.. A typical week in the adn program is class 8-12 m/w with an afternoon skills class on one of those (your choice) and clinicals T/Th with the occasional Friday.. Expect to read.. ALOT!. Typically tests come from the textbook info, not what is covered in lecture.
Thanks for the reply Rance1130! Hopefully the LVN will be similar. That doesn't sound to bad. Yea, I've heard all the reading is a killer. Lol.

I know I'm posting 5 years late but I would've appreciated any info while obsessing over learning about this school's program. I have been accepted into the ADN program that will begin next month. I've worked as a medaid for 2 years in an assisted living facility. I have a 2 year old and a husband who works only weekends that way he can take care of her throughout the week.
Here's some info:
Application process: A CNA license is required (unless you graduated from NTCC's CNA class, which I did). However, I went ahead and got the certification anyway. My gpa for pre-reqs is 3.8. You have to write essay answers to five questions. You need a reccomendation letter. You need to take the HESI A2 exam which I scored an overall 91%. After they review applications, you get an interview invitation. You interview in front of a panel of instructors and 2 weeks later you get a denial or acceptance letter that tells you what program they think youre best suited for.
Program info: Class schedule is Mon, Wed from 8-12 then 1-5:30...Clinicals are Tues/Thurs (12 hour shifts but won't begin until after 6 weeks) We have 21 people in our ADN program (one male)
Costs: First semester is tuition is 1600. Books are around 1500 [first semester only, however I purchased online and not from bookstore and saved 500 (all new books)] Other 3 semesters are supposed to be 1200 for tuition and few book purchases for each..All of that is not counting supplies and gas or anything personal. Uniforms are 60 each (scrub top/bottoms) I dont even wanna know how much the jacket and required lab coat are. (Lady said she would let us know a week before school begins)
Overall I'm looking forward to school. I've heard its a great school and most of the proffesors have Christian values which is a bonus for me. The only thing I'm nervous about is I've heard they've recently switched from block nursing to concept nursing which is supposed to be harder.
