North Dakota Questions

Hello All,

I am currently a nursing student in Ohio, and I am looking to move to Minot, North Dakota when I graduate this spring. I am moving because my boyfriend is stationed in Minot and I have a lot of questions about nursing in Minot:

  • Does anyone have any experiences with the hospital systems in Minot
  • Are there any areas/units you would recommend as a new graduate nurse?
  • I know of 2 hospital systems in Minot- trinity and St. Alexus- are there any other systems/ any recommendations/experiences you have with either of these systems?
  • Are there any available nursing residencies for first year nurses in Minot?

Any comments would be GREATLY appreciated- I've been to Minot twice now and love it- but don't know much about the hospitals!

Also, if this helps- I work as a PCA in a pediatric emergency department and love both of those areas and have a big interest in labor and delivery nursing/ postpartum nursing/ NICU nursing so if anyone has insight on those specialties that would be greatly appreciated.
