They are available in new York and Cleveland area. You take exceslior classes there In a classroom setting, going over each units-they also do prereqs. They prepare you for the exams. You pay them for the class time addition to exceslior college stuff. It's good for me cuz it keeps me motivated to continue with each course. I had to take 10 classes, I'm on my last course - Ls1, it really helped with my A & P and micro- I couldn't do it on my own. I finally know two people in this program who completed north coast and passed CPNE and boards- which is a relief to me cuz in the beginning I was worried. They are new, I tried Rue but couldn't stick with self studying. They have a website check it out.

Thanks for the info. I went to the website which appears to be operating as North East Educational Services in NYC. They don't talk about the cost on the site though which is not good idea---people may see this as a way to "rip" people off. But if it works for you great! Different things work for different people. Good Luck in your studies, hope that route pays off. BTW...I see they have CPNE Lab tutoring for 6 wks....how much does that cost? And what skills do they go over?

Hey determine

I called the rep and they said it 500.00 for non-students and covers the stations, careplans, patient care. She told me it's only a weekend not 6 wks.

If you could pay for it out of pockect that would be best. The issue is they charge you for the tutoring which is about $350 or so, then they chaRGE YOU for the study materials which is another $300 or so. The company makes your pay for all the classes you need up front. They do not let you take a class here or there. They have there own finacing company, it approves everyone, but they directly take the $$ out of the bank account. I paid in full unfortunatly, and I have taken humanities and human growth& Development and not to happy with out comes. More than half the info on the exams were not in the study materials, the instructor cut our 4 hour study session to 2 hours. Not happy with this service

Hey ahill,

Are you still in that program? Maybe we were in the same classes, i choose this northcoast cuz I couldn't do traditional schools. I have been out of school for so long and plus I work butt loads of hours.. I agree that some of those instructors want to get and out forcing me to seek many different resources. If i had to do it over and could be disciplined enuff, I would go straight thru excesilor.
