No waiting list?!

Published

I am currently finishing up my last prerequisites for Nursing in about 2 more weeks. I will be applying to my school's Nursing program for the Fall '10 semester. To my current knowledge my school no longer has the god awful two and three year waiting list that it once had. As long as a prospective student keeps up their grades and completes all other requirements (i.e. immunizations, CPR certification, etc), then they willl be admitted into the Nursing program. All this sounds so great, but now the new worry is that once all this hard work is accomplished where will I be able to get a job as a new graduate. The job market is horrible and most places want experienced Nurses. I won't let myself get discouraged, I'll just continue to pray that it all works out for the best.

What school are you talking about??

I go to CCRI in Rhode Island.

It's great that you chose to continue to further your education. You're still very young and it will hopefully be very rewarding for you.

I go to CCRI in RI

Oh poo!!! I was hoping for a school closer to home :(

I looked at CCRI but only need 2 classes to have all my classes besides the nursing classes done. Did you take all of your classes at CCRI? It's tough because I feel like I need to stay at my current CC so I don't have to retake classes.

Good luck in nursing school!

Yes, I took all my classes there at CCRI.
