No luck in job search, any idea why?

Hi! I am new to posting on this site, but have been reading for quite some time now. I have a question that I was hoping someone would be able to answer for me... I am currently trying to get into Nursing School ( Hondros College in West Chester ). I was hoping to start in January, but now it looks like it's going to be April instead. Anyway I have been trying to get a job at ANY hospital doing entry level work, and have yet to hear back from anywhere:( . Are there any tricks to getting hired in housekeeping? Or do you need connections? I don't know why I would have such a hard time getting an entry level job, I have a good work history, I had my STNA liscense (they expired in April), I am CPR certified. I just don't know. Any insight or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated:icon_smile: Thanks in advance, and sorry for the lengthy post!

Sometimes acute care hospitals are just picky or have some kind of criteria that the rest of us just can't figure out. You might try the LTC facilities. They usually are needing workers on a regular basis. Are you a CNA? If not, then get your CNA certificate and your job prospects should increase. Good luck.
