Two choices, not mutually exclusive: Go talk to some live nursing managers for their experiences-- you'll find a range of them. Go to the library and ask the librarian to help you search your topic in the CINAHL, the Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature. AONE, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, is a good place to start.
