2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Congratulations

Yes you can acquire char ref from same hospital and you can still declare your previous hospital as a source of employment

you will start to count your 60days from the time that NMC had reflected all of your documents in your portal in barcoded type already

Hi Everyone, I have a question about procuring referee forms. I was affiliated with two hospitals before. However, I am having difficulty to get a referee from my first hospital as new heads are now running this small hospital (New Chief Nurse and Supervisors). Do I need to get 1 referee from each hospitals that I have been affiliated with or Can I just get the 2 forms accomplished by 2 referees (Head and Chief Nurse) from my recent hospital.? And if so, can I still declare my first hospital Job ( I have COE and all) without any referee from that hospital? Thank you!

Were you referring to the barcoded Employer Reference Forms? I believe you need to have it filled by any nurse or doctor who supervised you from the two hospitals where you worked. The information your referee enters here should match that of the info you entered in the portal.

Thank you for prompt reply

Hello. I just want to askif its possible for me to apply as call center while waiting for my cos and visa. From what Ive read here, visa and cos may take time. So I would like to save while waiting. Is anyone here under MMA health recruitment?

It would be better if you would not take another employment. There could be a conflict in your documents with NMC like your CV or your status for your tax filing.

COS are applied every 5th of the month and usually, it takes 10-12 days for your trust to get it but it would still depends on the number of allocation of COS per month. Visa application takes about 15 working days. If everything goes smoothly, you can leave for UK right away and you won't have enough time to process everything under your supposed to be"" new employer should you decide to apply as a CSA.

Hello allnurses members,

Just want to ask if you ever had the same experience as mine. See I've worked for 2 hospital, "Hospital A", which I've worked for 6 months, wants to put a no mark yes mark on the "are you aware of any issues that would call into question the applicants character, conduct and fitness to practice?" part because I only stayed there for 6 months and they require atleast 2 years for them to tick the no box here. they said that this is the only way they would give their dry seal. my referee doesn't have a problem with me working for just 6 months It was the nursing department that's putting the seal on hold.

Now, I emailed NMC, and they said that I could secure 2 referee from my Hospital B, which I've worked for 2 years. Now as I back track this forumn here some were saying that still NMC required them to submit a referee form from their other hospital.

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, has anyone submitted applications in mid march and all documents received and downloaded to portal stating as documents received in mid April. Have u received your DL yet or any feedback as of yet from NMC.

I'm just in the process of sending all my documents through. My worry is that they require two employment references post registration. I've only worked at one hospital and plan on staying here until I can go over to the UK. What do I do reference wise? Do I just get two references from the same employment or will they say it's not good enough?

Thanks

No u can get references from the same place from 2 persons.

Good luck
