2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

hello. to anyone who already had their medical exam, what were the medical exams/tests done and how much did it all cost? And where did you have your medical exam? Thank you.

I was told to prepare P7200. 3200 for the TB from IOM and 4k from where I first had my medical exam for the health document.

Hi! I am with GHR too. I didn't receive my CoS last March 26th as promised. Did you get yours already?

Don't listen to their specific dates, I've been waiting for 2 months now and still nada. For which trust are you applying?

Hi. We're same Trust :) Can I ask for your email add? Thank you :)

Just checked my email. I actually got my DL yesterday.

Wowww.. Thats actually good for you.. :) im still waiting for mine though... Hopefully i will get the DL or feedback by next week... If not, i might call them... Btw @anne027 did you made any follow up emails regarding the DL aside from the one where you were told that its already ready for assesment but havent allocated any assessors yet?

Hey guys! I'm currently in the process of getting all my documents together. I'm just wondering how important it is to have paediatric and obstetric experience? I didn't have any practical experience in university in these areas. If I send my documents without these will I have to wait ages to be told that I need to get these documents/experience in these areas?

Thanks so much and good luck to everyone going through this process. It feels like quite a battlefield getting through everything haha.

I only did one follow up. I thought that it might take longer before I will be able to get my DL. Good luck!

Hi, sorry I forgot the name of where I had my first medical exam although it's somewhere near Capitol.

hello. what area did you applied for at the NMC? I think it will depend on the area you're applying for. If you applied as an Adult nurse, I think they won't mind you not having experience in pediatric or obstetrics. But if you applied for pedia or ob, then maybe you should have experience in these areas.
