NMC Required Medical Tests

Published

Hi guys!

I'm queued with the NMC already and during my annual PE at my current work I found out my SGPT was 110 and SGOT 48. I'm also suppose to have my medical exam and IOM TB screening next week. I had other work ups done and I tested negative for all forms of hepatitis. My cholesterol levels are also within normal range.

I do not know what to do and if I would be cleared.

You only need the Declaration of Good Health signed by a GP you are not working with or not currently in your employment. I believe having those values won't declare you unfit to work.

I already have the declaration. But my agency requires us all to have extra blood tests on top of the TB and hep B screening.

Also, thank you so, so much for replying.

Most, if not all, agencies require you to undergo blood tests esp to blood borne illnesses but the results of these won't deny you from working in UK. They are only concern of TB and other illnesses listed as a national threat. Furthermore, the will not test you for liver enzymes, if that concerns you.
