Hi! I am also processing my NMBI and still awaiting for my decision letter. With regards to your concern, NMBI is not so strict when it comes to work gaps as long as you provide explanation. I have a 2 yr work gap as well. NMBI requires employers reference (previous and current employer). If you are less than 12 months from your current employer then you are required to get employers reference from your previous employer to cover the 12 months required nursing experience by NMBI. If I were you, wait for your IELTS test result, if you get the minimum required score for NMBI registration then don't accept the job offer for Saudi it would just make your registration more complicated.
I just sent my last document yesterday and as per NMBI assessment it would take around minimum 60 days starting from the last document they received from you or any relevant authority like school or prc.My last bedside experience was in 2012, from 2013- early 2015 no nursing related job; i started working as nurse associate in bpo in 2015 and as utilization review nurse in 2016. My agency is fully aware about my employment history and gaps. NMBI requires you to have at least 12 months nursing experience in the last 5 years. :-)Thank you for your response. How long have you been waiting for the decision letter? I just also want to know if ask your employer/agency regarding the employment gaps?
Actually I'm also planning to work again in a BPO setting for the USRN sponsorship while waiting for the NMBI. maybe that can be a better option than working in Saudi Arabia. thank you very much for your insights.
That is my current job now, I worked as USRN in a healthcare related BPO.Pay is definitely good! :-)

I am wondering on how to obtain this one also. Mine is more complicated since the company I worked closed due to ending contract with the MOH Kuwait. I worked as EMT in Kuwait but my license is Nurse. I don’t know how to get COG from MOH since 1 or more of the requirements to acquire is impossible to get.

hi! I would like to inquire if is it okay with NMBI if the applicant has work gaps? already have 5 months working gap, I resigned because I want to focus on my IELTS review.. I had my writing scores re-checked because I only got 6.5. i am just wondering if I should accept a job offer in Saudi Arabia for me to earn more while waiting for the decision letter in case I passed the IELTS. Is NMBI more strict when it comes to applicants who are working in the Middle East? kasi according to some of my Ex-saudi colleagues who applied in the UK, the NMC is strict to all applicants who works or worked in Saudi Arabia because all the documents from Saudi employers needs to be translated in English. baka kasi same din sa NMBI na it will take too long for them to release decision letters for nurses who has work experience in the Middle east. Please tell me your insights regarding this. This would be very helpful because I have a job offer in KSA but I am delaying the process because I am waiting for my remarking results. Thanks in advance..
