NLN Testing Out of Nursing Classes

I have read of a few students using the NLN's test to get the Nutrition prerequisite some schools make you have and Microbiology that isn't offered by CLEP. I see they have challenge exams for some of the didactic courses of nursing, like advanced pathophysiology and pharmacology. But I also read that some schools make you do NLN tests after doing the course itself, so these could be just used as a barrier in the context of nursing programs. Has anyone managed to take the NLN's challenge exam for nursing nonclinical classes and had a school accept them for credit?
