I posted this is in the pre-nursing student forum, but thought this was a better place since most people here have probably already taken the exam.
I was just wondering how hard the NLN exam is, specifically the science section. I have not taken a science class since I graduated HS in 2005, but will be taking A & P I this fall online. However, my knowledge of chemistry and physics is extrmely lacking. I never took a physics course in my entire life, and I learned nothing in chemistry during HS since our teacher was absent for half the year. Now I know I can buy a review book, but will I have to teach myself chemistry and physics? Because that is not something I can do.
Is going to a for profit school that does not require the NLN a good idea? Besides cost, what are the disadvantages? I've read all of the threads about for profit schools, but I don't think most of the info they have are true. My mother, an RN with 25 years experience, said that employers only care that you have your LPN license, not where you went to school. After I did an LPN program, I would ultimately want to do an RN.
