@Collegegirl 13..
I'm not sure how many students they accept. Are you a highschool student or a transfer? I applied anyway. Reason being aside from GPA they also take a look at how well you would be able to fit into the program in the fall based on the completetion of your prereqs. I'm basically done with those. So I've got nothing to lose and everything to gain so I went ahead and applied. I will find out soon.
@jngo
I did apply to a few other schools. My heart is set on Willy P but I'll go wherever I'm accepted. Thanks for the reply!

Okay so I need some advice.
I started off at a community college after highschool, and my GPA wasn't exactly ..well good. I had a 2.2. I transferred to William Paterson University and after my first semester, I now have a GPA of a 3.3. It's likely I won't make it in my schools nursing program due to its high competitiveness and standards. Right now I am listed as a Public Health major. There is no other major I wish to pursue because this is my dream career! So what should I do?
Someone told me i may have a better chance applying to some of the private institutions in new jersey, but I simply can not afford those schools. I'm trying other universities but I'm not sure if my 3.3 is good enough or if they may hold my performance at the community college higher. Is there still a chance for me?
I briefly considered getting my degree in public health to give myself time to really do well at this school and strengthen my application to nursing programs, and then applying to accelerated programs. But that's a lot of time and effort being put into a major that I really don't want. If anyone has any insight, or even better if you live in new jersey, please HELP
