Hello all
I have a job offer in NJ as an APN. My "checklist" has been complete for awhile now, except for "Board Approval". I've emailed several times to ask about what the ETA on the board approval is, but it's been radio silence.
Has anyone applied as an APN recently? What was your time to approval after the checklist was complete?
Thank you!

Hi, I've been searching for some answers to this question! I've been waiting 9 weeks now for my license and have yet to receive it. I see this post was from a few months ago. I'd like to know how long did it take for you?
Thanks!

How did you complete the background check for NJ BON? Should something be mailed to you?

Mine took exactly 5 weeks from application to approval. I had to call them every 10 days or so to get an update. It also helps to tell them that you already have an NP job that is waiting for the license number.

Hi,
Do NJ employers hire APNs with a pending license? I am trying to decide if its worth applying for positions without knowing when my license will be issued.
Thanks
If you passed your boards and have the certification from AANP or ANCC, I would definitely apply. It takes time to find the right position, interview, and sort out other things. Hopefully, your license will be issued soon! Good luck:)

Hi, this post was from Oct of 2022! It took me 5 weeks from application to approval. I heard that things are a bit slower now.
