I emailed them aksing when we'd hear back, and they said they will be sending out emails for interviews this coming week

I really feel for you and I'm sorry sorry you had to learn this tough lesson. This is my second year applying, and I'm almost 29. When I didn't get in last year (I mistakenly only applied to Humber's second entry) I was devastated, and this was after being on their wait list for 5 months. I hope you get U of T! If not though, use this year to better yourself, take extra classes that will lighten the load once you do get in, go on a cool vacation-- make the best of it! I found out later that I should have been more competitive. This second entry program is really attractive to foreign trained doctors, who once they come to Canada, decide on the 2 year nursing track instead of re-training in med school. So don't get down on yourself too hard if it doesn't work out.
