I have been working in the NICU for a little over a year and I love my job. However, Im considering going back to school but Im not sure of what path I would like to take. I have been researching CRNA and NP programs but Im just torn between the two. I am just looking for advice from anyone that knows about either field of nursing. If working in either field, how did you make the decision that this is what you would like to do? what are pros and cons of each? and also, if anyone has worked the night shift and gone back to school, i am also interested in how you did this as well.

A word of caution, many newish RNs are going back to school to become a NP. The market has the chance to become saturated. It has already happened to CRNAs in certain areas.
Nights and school will be hard but doable. That's what I am doing, but it is kind of scary thinking about jobs down the road when literally every one of your coworkers is in school too.
