I just received my letter saying I have an interview with Akron University in October. I thought that relief would come but I have found even more stress at the thought of the interview process. I will take all of nilepoc's advice in previous threads in to consideration. Does everyone feel this way?

I just mailed off my first two apps today, hopefully will finish the third by tonight. Yes, I feel exactly as you do. STRESSED! Part of me deep down thinks I can't do this . . . I'm just an ICU nurse, I manage bowels and skin care, I can't be literally responsible for someone's life! But apparently they think an ICU nurse can learn this stuff. I keep telling myself that.
I'm looking forward to letters like yours, but petrified too!

I just recently got accepted to two schools so I know the anxiety you are feeling. Going to the interview prepared will definitely help to reduce your anxiety a little. Wear a suit, arrive on time, and think up answers to all of those predictable questions you just know they are going to ask! Know WHY you want to be a CRNA, expect to explain any weaknesses in your application, answer about what kind of a student you are and how you handle stress, and questions about hemodynamic parameters, drips, and vents. Ask a friend to do a mock interview with you if you get really nervous at interviews. As long as you are prepared, you will do just fine! Good luck!
