I know I've wanted to go back to school for a while now. The only issue I've been having is whether to to back for my NP or to get my Masters in Informatics. Currently my job is as a nurse informatic working at our hospital. I was interested and am decent with computers and they needed help with an update so, here I am it's a great job, but I'm not sure what I could do more if I were to go for my Masters.
I've had a couple nurses that would like to work on opening a clinic and wanted more NPs to help and run the clinic. I always thought it would be nice to do my own thing or to do a clinic. I've also got a friend that has a day spa who's current NP, she feels, is charging a crapload to be on some paper.
I love my current job, I just don't see much room to move up here. I'm also the type that feels bad when leaving a job to do other things.
If you're answer is "do what's right for you", I already have that one. I'm more interested in what options are open for those with Master Informatics degrees and NPs. Anyway, thought I'd see what people had to say.
