I'm happy to announce that my licenses have been placed back on probation. I endured a very long two years of suspension ( for dropping out of my state's monitoring program). I had a lawyer on standby but didn't need his services since it was a virtual meeting. I'm so internally Greatful for this second chance to reclaim my professional licenses. I submitted letters of recommendations, CEUs and letters of compliance from my treating MDs. I recommend you get a separate file for reinstatement to keep up with all the requirements. Being organized is the key. I'm here to help those who are coming up for reinstatement.

I am happy to hear you have been reinstated. Like you my license has recently been after a 4 year suspension for assaulting a patient that did not happen I secured legal counsel but the board suspended my license anyway. I have trying to get a job but I have restrictions the board requires me to acknowledge. As soon as I mention them they cancel the interview. I have been honest and forthcoming but it seems like nobody will hire me. I just want a second chance. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
I recommend not mentioning anything until once you get an interview. I have a written follow up email that addresses my issue with the board but just enough information not too much. I'm still dealing with when to mention about my license being on probation during the interview since I just started my job search but with practice I'm sure it will be second nature . Hope this helps you. I wish you much success.
Blackspear1981-MSN,
Thank You for responding. The first job I applied for I got a phone interview and was offered the position as soon as I let them know about my restrictions they rescinded their offer. I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. Good luck in your job search I wish you all the best. Mbeni
What are your restrictions if you don't mind me asking? I have the regular restrictions as far as having to be supervised and no over time. But I'm able to pass controlled meds.
The main ones are I am not allowed to work in emergency department or mental health units. I am not allowed to work as a manager and anytime I am offered a position I must tell them before I accept and give them a copy of the restrictions. I am on a 3 year probation
