Newly Qualified UK Nurse. Awaiting registration with Nurses Board of Victoria

Hi I quqlified as a nurse in October 07 and am currently working as a nurse in the UK on an 18.5 hours per week contract. Does anyone know if my application for nurse registration in Victoria may be refused as I only have a few months experience? Or if the fact that I am only working part time mean that I will not be considered as having enough experience.

Also my contract is only for 6 months so I will be out of a job in March, will this affect my chances?

Also does anyone know how long it takes for the decision to me made, I applied in November.

I have already found an agency that will take on newly qualified nurses and they are willing to put me forward for jobs as soon as I have my registration in Australia.

Sorry for all the questions

Sarah

Hi Sarah, I am a 1st year adult nurse student in UK and am looking at moving to Australia as soon as I qualify. Do you know if I will have to pay my bursary back?
