Newbee looking for advice in SoCal

U.S.A. California

Published

I live in So Cal in the Antelope Valley area and Im thinking of starting school to become an LVN and then RN. Can I get some advice on anything? How hard is this? The pros and cons about this carreer....:uhoh3:

Approx pay rates in the area. School recommendations?

Anything will help! I want to do something with my life and I need to get started now before its too late!!:o

Thank you all!

Good luck on the new career path! Congrats, it is a great choice if you do decide to go through with it. I am currently an LVN student that plans to bridge over to RN when I graduate next year. I too am from the Antelope Valley, so we can definitley support each other through this process. We have a few local schools to choose from, CCI, AV career academy and AV medical college of the three my choice would be narrowed to CCI and AV career academy as those are the best private schools. ALso look into going to the junior college, their LVN program is a lot cheaper than a private school. It is really tough and challenging, but definitely rewarding and it so pays off in the end! Pay varies from around 15-25 an hour depening on a number of factors.... feel free to track me down and ask me any questions you may have.

Many people from Palmdale/Lancaster also drive to the San Fernando Valley to attend LVN school.
