New York Presbyterian New Grad Orientation

Published

Does anyone know how the New York Pres orientation is for a spanking new grad nurse? I'd really like to work there when I graduate in May and was curious if it would be worthwhile to work for this establishment. Thank you.

Specializes in Pediatrics.
Remember that these two hospitals have only recently (last few years) teamed up, so they still are significantly different facilities with differences in how things are done. For example, my understanding is that Columbia may be unionized while Cornell is not.

Columbia is unionized (NYSNA). I'm not 100% sure, but I think Cornell has become unionized as well.

Hi I was just curious, How much does the New grad orientation at New York Presbyterian pay? I live in Syracuse New York now and I really want to move into the city. I am hoping that nurses make more there because of the cost of living. I dont think I could live on less than 3,000$ a month there. Anyone know new grad salary there, all I can find is the states average, and I know that is not what a new grad makes there.. Thanks, rachel
