New York Presbyterian New Grad Nurse Program

U.S.A. New York

I graduated in December with my BSN (second degree) and am interested in applying to the New Grad Nurse program at NYP. Does anyone know if NYP has New Grad applications available on their website for December grads (e.g., in December/January)? I know they have applications for May/June graduates. I hear that the applications are up for a brief amount of time and get taken down quickly. I just want to make sure I don't miss the posting. Is checking the website the only way? Thanks!

Please let me know if anyone is aware of there new grad program and when it is posted, thanks!

^ . When are the interview dates usually posted? Is it possible to sign up before you take the NCLEX exam? I heard some people who were interviewed before they took their NCLEX and just let the hospital know when they passed. Any information about the process is appreciated. Thank you so much!

I applied to the new grad event, turned in my resume, took the career battery test (im assuming i passed), and now got invited to attend a new grad event. How many people does NYP invite to these things and what are the chances of scoring an interview? Im from out of state and would have to fly in for it but don't want to completely waste my money! BSN from big university, 1 year internship experience in a hospital! Any advice is welcome! Would love to know the time frame for hiring as well.

Hi newnurse525. Did you get asked to the exclusive interview event date too? I got an email that I could skip the meet and greet and just go to the exclusive interview event. I'm unsure of my chances as well, as I know so many new grads want to work at NYP. Which hospital location are you going to?

jlc128 - i didn't get the email about the exclusive interview date but it says im going toNewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical CenterGriffis Faculty Club

How do they choose what location you go to? I wish I knew more about my chances and what the meet and greet would entail.

I have no idea how they choose which hospital you go to, maybe it is based off of what our top 3 unit choices were. I'm not sure how I got selected to "skip" the meet and greet either.

Interesting! Well if anyone has any information on the new grad event and the application timeline and the chances of me getting an interview.... Let me know! Really want to work there but don't want to waste $400 on a flight if it's a long shot

Does anyone know how long it takes to hear from NYP if you're selected to interview/come to the meet and greet? I just submitted my application/took my battery test for the new grad program, curious when I should expect an invite.
