  1. Does anyone know how long it takes to hear from NYP if you're selected to interview/come to the meet and greet? I just submitted my application/took my battery test for the new grad program, curious when I should expect an invite (IF I get an invite).

  3. I haven't heard anything and I applied for San Mateo. Do we know if acceptances are sent through email or phone calls?
  4. I just completed an interview for as ABSN program and am wondering if I should send a thank you note. It was a group interview and we interviewed with most of the school's faculty (about 15 in all). Would I send each individual a thank you card (this seems a little daunting) or, should I send one and address it to "The faculty and staff of _____ nursing school" Thanks!
  5. Hi Summer '14- I have just received word I was invited to interview next week to start Fall '14-I am very excited and also very nervous! Can anyone give me any input on the interview process? A four hour interview seems a bit daunting and I want to nail the interview!
  6. Does anyone know what to expect for the interview?
  7. I haven't heard anything either. What did your email say @ukg12?
  8. couldn't I just get an accelerate BSN?
  9. Pretty far, I am basically almost done...I go to a state school in California and they make it extremely difficult to change majors or take classes other than the GEs and major classes you need..otherwise I would have changed to a major that would help get those prerequisites out of the way. It is such a pain! Because of this, I am hoping I can maybe find a program to attend after I graduate in order to complete my prerequisites then go onto nursing school. I am sort of interested in becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner so I would need an ADN, right?
  10. Hello! I am currently a college student studying sociology. I have become interested in going to nursing school after I graduate, but don't really know the steps to do so. My major obviously doesn't help me get the prerequisites I need for nursing school. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do after I graduate to get the prerequisites needed and apply for a nursing school?? Or if you know any schools in California (bay area) that I can attend just to do my prerequisites so I can then apply to a school... Any advice would be so helpful! thanks so much!
  11. Hi everyone! I am currently a junior in college studying sociology but have decided I want to go into nursing after I graduate. After I graduate, I am interested in applying to schools for an accelerated BSN. My question is, do I need to have any nursing prerequisites done before I can apply? Or, are the all those pre-req classes (bio, chem, anatomy, etc.) to be taken while I am working on my accelerated BSN. If not, do you recommend taking the pre-req classes at a local community college then applying to schools? Thanks!
