C'Mon Now! Oops, wrong thread. Seriously though, WTH dad?!

Love all y'all!! It was a restful, uneventful break.

Flu here in the NTX and we're being told to stay away from the emergency rooms (well...duh!) I hope the flu peaked last month. My public health experience tells me that there are a bunch of kids who are coming back from NYE vacations and got something else to bring home and share. I. Cannot. WAIT!

But we only have 19 weeks left.

PD today, so I'm just cleaning and doing paperwork.

Closed last Thursday (snow), 2 hour delay Friday, now three hour early dismissal. I could get used to this.

This is my first day back. It's slow, which is nice. We have a few student with skiing injuries from break, but nothing too crazy. Also, a lot of my vision/hearing referrals have returned their paperwork after seeing doctors over break. Yay!

I hope everyone had a nice break!

Six elevator passes and a dozen new students (all with interesting and unusual vaccine records).

Welcome back!!

Jealous! We might get snow here Friday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed with my students that it gets us a snow day

I hate snow days because of the aftermath. It is going to rain and be 53 in Boston on Friday and I cannot wait for it wash some snow away.

here in NE Ohio we had three snow days (basically the whole region) after break was due to end. It's pretty queit here, especially since these kids havent seen each other in darn near a month. We are all over due to return. I haven't even noticed much commotion from discipline down the hall from me.

Whoa I haven't been here in forever! But these kids are already annoying me with their fake illnesses lol. And I just had a kid call home because of a stomachache/general abd pain. Mom came to pick her up and asked if we could call an ambulance for her so she could be seen quicker at the hospital. Lord give me patience.

Lord have mercy. What did you do?? I would be caught off guard and not know what to say. But, I think that is something that could totally happen to me at some point!

"Ma'am, YOU can call an ambulance....but once the ER staff has assessed death is not nearby or imminent, you'll wait like everyone else."
