New to WA and looking for a schoolH

Published

Hello there! I just moved to WA (south hill area) from AZ with my husband and our 5.5 mo old son, and am ready to get back to school! In AZ I was two classes shy of applying for the RN program but out here it seems like I am basically starting over since the course loads are SO DIFFERENT and I need almost 2 extra years of classes (plus we are on semesters not quarters).

Can anyone suggest a school that has "easier" pre-req's??

I know that sounds horrible/lazy but I just hate the thought of having to do basically everything all over again when I am so anxious to get out there and start being an RN! I've applied to numerous CNA programs hoping to fulfill this "urge" but 3 mo later and I haven't heard anything.

If anyone could give me some advice that would be great!

BTW, I am not trying to come off as lazy. I know this is going to be a lot of work, and I am dedicated to doing so...just very anxious to get out there and get it done.

Check out community colleges, I attended schools in TX and OR and most of my classes transferred without problems. I went to Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA. Great program, loved the instructors and the clinicals. Their pass rates for both the LPN and RN NCLEX are very good. Most of us (99% on LPN and 98% for RN) passed the first time.
