I am thinking now about traveling as a nurse. I have 1 year of experience:yeah:, and i called some agencies to get more info about it, they replied that i need at least 2 years to be a traveler, so, i applied to a local hospital very closed to my house, in the Telemetry Unit as a Staff nurse for night shift, i got hired to start next month:dance:. i am planning on getting all the experience required so i can start an assignment. My plan is actually get more experience this year, but in the night shift...(I only worked day shift before), and later this year get a traveling assignment for night shift. i figured out, it will be a little easier than working days.
Some advice will be very helpful... about on How to make the transition from Staff nurse to a traveler nurse in a telemetry unit.
and , the agency i contacted about local traveling mention that some hospitals want you to live within 50 miles of distance, is that so in every assignment?? they say it changes per hospital.
Any advice is very much welcome...thanks!!!:heartbeat RNcorazon!!!
