What the heck? are they out of thier minds? and did they tell you why? from what I know, BLS with NC-CLEX includes using an AED already, unlike with PNRC where there's no AED yet. I also wonder if they consider BLS form FEPAG (Fire Emergency Paramedic Assistance Group) because form what I know, FEPAG's MFR (medical first responder) training is always held in this hospital whic I think also includes BLS.

True. And they're also accredited by ASHI. It's sad, really:down:. I paid 600 for that training. They told me that it had to be from PNRC, but I guess if they held that MFR training then they probably would accept it. Anyway, I'm still waiting for their text on the 15th, if I pass (hopefully I would), then I guess I have no choice but to renew it at red cross.

there's an exam at qcgh, it's a 35-item exam. you just need to pass the exam for you to get into their training. no interview after the exam, just orientation and that's it! you can start their training after they provide you your group and rotation of duty.
having ivt, bls, ecg, acls is not a plus factor there. you just need to get HIGH SCORE in their exam. i know a friend in college who even took the exam twice, and he even have ivt, ecg, acls, bls trainings but he didn't passed. i've had my ivt during my training there(it's another payment of course). so i don't think having lots of training will give a plus-plus points for you.
i don't remember the requirements (i think someone have posted it here previously) cause i don't usually go now in the training office:D.
just do good in their exam guys and maybe someday we will bump into each other there, hehe:yeah:
have a nice day everyone!:)

Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center. Its just beside SM Fairview.
no even you undergo the training, or even the elective training it's not a guarantee that they will hire you. usually the ones who get hired are those with backers . but since there's a new building there maybe they will hire more nurses.

i have gone training at qcgh last year, sadly i haven't continued their elective training for 6 months at special areas NICU, MICU and ER, you should have taken their elective training before being considered for a staff nurse position if you applied. not all trainees in qcgh are employed...
