Congratulations and STAY positive!
I went up to the school yesterday, as I had some financial aid questions, and picked up my books from the bookstore then.
My intro to psyc books they must have had a million used ones. Took a few minutes to find one that was not highlighted, but finally I did. That course came with "INSTRUCTIONS!!!" from the professor...holy moly, pre-class homework. But it was cool because I was able to log onto our blackboard and read the syllabus, check out the course outline and learn a bit about the professor.
Then onto the A/P books. used? Thats a joke. Does anyone get rid of the a/p books?? LOL... Ended up having no choice but to get new, BUT I found out we're going to be working with a mink. Which is really neat, because I've already dissected a cat during anatomy in high school.
Found out what the deal was with my financial aid, and got that all taken care of. Now, its onto Wednesday for a open house in the nursing department. Then onto next Thursday for the actual schools orientation...then by golly, start right off with a/p lecture and lab in the same day- 1st day of school!...
Now its time to get organized...I think I better use this weeks vacation wisely and get my girls rooms cleaned out and go through everything for them to start school Monday... I'm a college student!

Brandy, how do you get on blackboard? I can't get in, I don't have a username and pw, (is there a "formula" for that, like ssn and birthdate or something?), and can't find a place to register for one!
I've got my books, well, most of them, have A&P (if you sign up for Border's email, you get coupons, ended up getting it for 25% off, saving myself over 30 bucks!) Psych and some of the nursing books are on the way.
Will you be going to orientation? I had a nursing one in April, it was great, but this is the general one, I'm going, and am excited! Hopefully I'll meet you there!

Good luck to everyone just starting out...and of course everyone else as well....lol
Mudnuri....I got my books used, way back when, but if I had waited any longer I wouldn't have.
Used books go QUICKLY!!! I'll be going today or tomorrow to get my chem books b/c I just decided yesterday to take chem. (It starts Monday.)
I doubt very seriously there is a used book left in the store. LOL :)
