Nov 11, 2007 Depends on what you are doing, but when I was in the hospital I made my own report sheet and came up with a system of abbreviations to check off including meds. I had different times on the sheet beside each patients name....say 0900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300. I'd quickly go through the mars and circle the times that my meds were due then when they were given, I'd cross through the circle. It's those odd time meds that are easy to forget which is why I had all the different times on there. I always went in about 15 minutes early when I was new. It made me feel not quite as rushed and it gave me extra time to check the meds and write things on my sheet. It wasn't a perfect system but it really helped me.
