New RN advice

Hello All!

I am a new RN and I am about to start my RN-BSN program. Even though I have been doing a lot of research about different long term career fields in nursing I wanted to know what is the best overall job. There are so many options such as practitioner, educator, nurse manager, informatics... Thanks All!

What's best is one that you will enjoy. I happen to enjoy precepting and teaching; therefore, I completed an MSN education program. I absolutely abhor the idea of going into management, so completing a management program would not be something I would do. Basically, the only one who can answer your question is you- what do you enjoy and what do you want to do with your nursing career in the future?

I am interested in maybe getting into part time clinical instructing to see if i do enjoy it mangement does not appeal to me as much.
