Hi guys! I got into nursing school for this upcoming semester . I was really surprised seeing as how I was told the odds weren't great regardless of good grades, so I'm very excited!
I guess my question is just really general - for those of you who weren't involved in anything at all medical/nursing/care related prior to beginning nursing school - was this a huge shock for you once you got started? I am admittedly anxious and nervous about this field. I've always been a little weary of hospitals myself and would get nervous whenever I had to go to a doctor, ect. I guess I'm looking for stories or advice from people who maybe felt like myself at one point in time.
How did you get yourself comfortable with all the things you'd be doing and the environment? Does it just come naturally as classes progress?
