New Nursing Program at Good Sam Hosp. In Dayton?

U.S.A. Ohio

Does anyone here know anything about the new nursing program at Good Sam in Dayton? I saw a story about it on the news last night, but they didnt say much at all about it. Basically they said that it was for Good Sam employees, to "grow their own" nurses, but they also said that Sinclair and Wright State students would be using it for clinicals. Thats great, but I guess my question is will this in any way, shape or form cut down the horrendous waiting lists for the local nursing programs? I am a Sinclair student who has been waiting for a year already....with no hope of entrance until Winter of '06. So if anyone here has any info I'd much appreciate it.

Specializes in MICU for 4 years, now PICU for 3 years!.

I go to WSU, but haven't heard anything about it other than what was on the news the other day. Maybe call Good Sam and find out some more info about it, or even their website... I seem to recall them saying that it was for their employees, but since it's a university, it was for everyone around too. As far as WSU and SCC using it for clinicals, they already do. We have at least 2 or 3 clinicals that I know of there right now, and I'm sure SCC does too...
