Hello, I am currently a new nurse, got my license three months ago. I have been working in a psych unit,I have been applying to the hospitals but I haven't had any job offers. I received a job offer in Kindred hospital and will start in a few days. But what I really want to do in the future is ICU in big hospitals. The hospital I am going to start working is a very small hospital and the ICU unit only has 4 beds. I just want to know if this Kindred experience is going to help me in the future or I should look keep looking for big hospital jobs.

It's an acute care position in a small hospital that's part of a huge system. Whether it helps is entirely up to what you make of this opportunity. Be an exemplary employee, seek to further your education, step out of your comfort zone, cross-train to the ED if you can, get the appropriate certs and don't underestimate the ICU just because it's small.
